Hydrafacial, the flagship brand of The Beauty Health Company, has launched the Hydralock HA Booster, which offers clinically backed claims aimed at combatting dehydrated, dull and stressed skin. The focus on clinicals is in line with rising demands for clinically backed beauty.

“We are thrilled to bring the Hydrafacial Hydralock HA Booster to market as the first booster in our portfolio with clinically proven results!" says BeautyHealth chief executive officer Marla Beck. "Elevating the clinical efficacy of Hydrafacial treatments is part of our Medtech Meets Beauty strategy."

Beck adds, "We know today’s consumers are savvier than ever. When it comes to in-office treatments, they trust their estheticians, dermatologists and plastic surgeons most, and these providers trust demonstrable data. That’s why when we invest in innovation at Hydrafacial, we want to be certain it will deliver results and elevate the Hydrafacial treatment further for our providers and their clients alike.”

Beck concludes, “Today’s consumers are more informed than ever on skin health and ingredients, making clinically proven efficacy crucial."

Clinically Backed Beauty is the Future

As previously reported, Mintel’s 2025 beauty trend report notes that today’s beauty consumers are “prioritizing functional efficacy and ingredient knowledge” amid a wider movement toward proven claims and demands that products offer multiple benefits.

These consumers are being educated by influencers who demystify the inner workings of the beauty industry, including ingredients and manufacturing, turning shoppers into pro-sumers.

Armed with more knowledge, consumers will demand proven efficacy and precision from beauty products, which will require a new generation of biotech ingredients, encapsulation technologies for enhanced delivery and materials that offer aesthetic-grade benefits.
