What was behind the development of the Vitabiome Active Skin Optimizer?
"We saw an opportunity to create an all-in-one product that no other beauty brand has done before that addresses common skin care needs that are a result of the biome dysbiosis," says founder Kat Burki.
I wanted to create a new generation, multi-functional, and all-in-one microbiome skin spray to not only help him but anyone struggling with similar skin needs while leading active lifestyles.
You can use Vitabiome Active Skin Optimizer anytime on the go, before and after workouts, to balance your skin’s microbiome and prevent breakouts.
It can replace the lengthy morning skin care routine, just apply after cleanser and go. It can be reapplied during the day as needed to keep skin barrier performance at its peak.
All of our formulas utilize the proven principles of biochemistry of body healing, which is complete ingredient synergy to maximize potency, optimized for deeper absorption, to ensure the skin's own healing mechanisms for maximum results.

What were the key targets of the formulation?
Burki: The Vitabiome Active Skin Optimizer was developed to address the microbiome, which lives at the very top surface layer of the skin, and it was created to promote the skin’s natural defenses, stabilize the skin’s biome, prevent acne breakouts, fortify the skin when active and repair the skin to a healthy state.
Our ingredients are paired very intentionally to work synergistically and provide you with your healthiest, most rejuvenated skin. That being said, the Optimizer is formulated specifically for the top microbial world of the skin, with a potent blend of probiotics, antimicrobials and antioxidants.
